‘Workshop in a Box’: Metrics and Targets

This resource forms part of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) ‘Workshops in a Box’ series which contains presentation materials that inform and educate on the voluntary GFANZ Net-zero Transition Plan (NZTP) framework. The presentations contain the information needed for trainers to hold workshops with minimal preparation and can be held independently of each other. This specific workshop/training material covers the ‘Metrics and Targets’ theme of the NZTP framework. This theme focuses on both the ultimate net-zero goal and on more detailed metrics and targets that represent components of the net-zero goal and progress of plan execution. The theme considers qualitative and quantitative metrics (including, for example, client and portfolio emissions metrics) as well as forward-looking and backward-looking metrics. It covers recommendations and guidance for the determination of the metrics and targets that can be used to measure success of the transition plan.
