Learning Outcomes

Course Objective: This course provides ready-to-use presentation materials on the decarbonization contribution methodologies outlined in the voluntary GFANZ Net-zero Transition Plan (NZTP) framework.

Learners can expect to gain:

  1. Understanding of forward-looking climate metrics such as the Expected Emission Reduction, and how these can be applied to assess the potential emissions impact of financial decisions
  2. Knowledge of the application of these metrics to the four GFANZ financing strategies

Why This Matters: Forward-looking metrics like Expected Emission Reductions provide financial institutions with a way to assess the potential decarbonization contribution of their financing activities. These methodologies support more transparent and informed evaluations of how investments may enable future emissions reductions.
