Course Objective:

This course introduces public and third sector professionals to the fundamentals of sustainable finance, focusing on how financial systems operate, how public policy influences investment, and how finance can be a tool for environmental and social impact.

Learners can expect to:

  1. Understand the structure and purpose of the financial system, including key actors and instruments
  2. Analyze how public policy shapes sustainable finance across jurisdictions
  3. Assess evolving policies, regulations, and supervisory expectations
  4. Evaluate the potential for finance to deliver positive environmental and social outcomes
